Public Playgrounds
Landsdowne Valley, Dublin 12.

Oisin Kelly Park, Basin Street, Off James Street, Dublin 8.
A small park with an all weather 5-a-side football pitch.

St. Audoen's Park, High Street/Cook Street, Dublin 8.
Adjacent to St. Audoen's Church (the oldest standing church in Dublin 1,300AD) the park incorporates the first stone wall which surrounded Dublin city from about 1,100AD.  There is a nice walk around the park which has floral displays, the area is steeped in history and the old stone wall and church give plenty of material for contemplation.

Kevin's Park, Camden Row, Dublin 8.
A small park suitable for a picnic or just some quiet time.  Historical setting as it is a former burial ground associated with Kevin's Church which dates back to about 1226.

Belgrave Square, Dublin 6,
Just off Castlewood Avenue between Rathmines and Ranelagh.  Facilities include a basketball court and a playground.  The Swan Shopping Centre is just a five minute walk away for refreshments or emergency toilet breaks for the little ones.

Brickfield Park, Dublin 12,
Just off the Crumlin road between Crumlin College and Crumlin Shopping Centre.  There is a playground, Sportsfield and an all weather pitch.

Cabbage Garden, Dublin 8,

Croppies Memorial Park, Wolfe Tone Quay, Dublin 8.
Nice floral schemes and a fountain.

Harolds Cross Park, Dublin 6.
There is a nice playground and a seperate area to sit and relax if that is what you want, some nice flowers and benches also.  The playground is covered in bark and there is a gate to the playground which parents generally keep closed once inside to ensure the little ones don\'t run out.  if you drive to the park, you will have to pay for disc parking in the surrounding area.

Eamon Ceannt Park, Sundrive Road, Dublin 12.
This park has a good bark surface playground, a cycle track and a running track and facilities for soccer and tennis.  There is a spar nearby with a delicatessen for lunch or magazines or sweets for the kids.

Patrick's Park, Patrick Street, Dublin 8.
This park has a small playground, some swings and a slide.  It has a fountain in the centre of the park and nice floral displays.  It is overlooked by St. Patrick's Cathedral and Bull Alley College.  A nice place to sit and have lunch, plenty of tourists taking photos of the cathedral, a very cosmopolitan park
